What We Do
At DepthPerception.org we provide "gatherings" where people can meet with the Intention of Having a
True Experience of Our Spiritual Selves.  We provide the space, an audio or video program, perhaps a
meditation, and a safe place for discussion.  To see where we're meeting, click on "Locations", and to see
what we're playing next, click on "Schedule".

We gather together with other people to hear about, think about, and talk about
meaningful things . . .
things that require attention and thought and honesty . . . in a safe & comfortable environment.  Usually
we begin with 30 minutes of Silent, Non-Denominational Meditation.  (See Meditation Page of this site).
For an idea of how it all works, please click on the "Our Format" button on the left.

When we get together on Sundays, we play an audio or video program selected from a wide variety of
thinkers, writers, teachers and speakers.  Currently we reserve Wednesday nights exclusively for our
teacher, Adyashanti.  This will be noted in the schedule.  The audio program is followed by time to talk
(you may talk if you like, and you don't have to) and later - time to socialize.  The topics chosen to start
off our discussions will be about a wide range of topics, including philosophy, consciousness, human
potential, the search for meaning, and spiritual growth and seeking.  The programs will not necessarily
represent the opinions of the hosts - often the hosts will not have heard the program prior to the current
airing.  There are SO MANY fine thinkers, philosophers, teachers, authors & speakers in the world.  We
believe it's good for us to expose our minds and spirits to many of them, rather than (or perhaps in
addition to) focusing on just one special teacher.

We recognize that many people are thinking, meditating, journaling, praying, and reading about deeper
subjects, but that they often feel alone, even isolated, because their activities are so solitary.  People who
come to our meetings are wishing to share these thoughts with other people who want more depth and
meaning in their lives --
without the dogma.  At DepthPerception there's nothing to join, nothing to
believe, nothing to commit to, nothing to conform to, nothing to give up.

Our environment is respectful, safe, non-confrontive, non-religious and comfortable.  You can come to
many meetings or random meetings.  Please note that this is also NOT therapy - we do not offer any
promises of confidentiality.  Our attitude is: if you don't want it repeated, don't say it.

If you're interested in exploring different philosophies in this type of environment, you're invited to join
us.  If you're interested in starting a group of your own, please click on the button labeled "Get DP In
Your Area".  We will help you get started.

You will notice that western religion and politics are generally not included in the programs offered here.
(There may be a few exceptions.)  This is mainly because we feel these subjects are adequately covered by
churches, synagogues, mosques, newspapers and TV.  People of all faiths are welcome here ~ just know
that these meetings will be more slanted toward eastern and non-dual thought.  However, there are
no
belief requirements
.  You are not asked to change your religion or faith.  If you like what you hear some
of the time, great!  If you disagree some of the time, great!  (I suppose if you disagree all of the time,  this
group might not be the best one for you.)

If you find the experience worthwhile, we hope you'll keep coming back.

Welcome to
DepthPerception.
